Pantone: Color of the Year!

We are pleased to announce the reddish-orange color that will be influencing the design industry in 2012!  As the Pantone news release put it, "[Tangerine Tango] is sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, an orange with a lot of depth to it” says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®.

I'm really liking it paired with this moody french blue.  What color will you pair Pantone 17-1463 with?

Happy Fall Friday!

As the first official weekend of fall, we thought we'd send you off with some lovely inspiration for a cozy, rustic barn wedding.  I love this favor idea: apple cider donut holes!  I can see someone dishing them up hot and placing in cute brown parchment bags with a cup of warm apple cider for dunking :)  Perfect as a late night snack or a little something to give to guests for the drive home.

Stunning Style for Engaged Magazine

Strawberry Milk Events was recently honored to style a wedding dress feature for the most recent issue of Engaged! Magazine.  The shoot took place over two days in Charlottesville, VA at the luxurious Keswick Hall - an Orient Express property in Virginia hunt and wine country.

I was inspired by the tuscan villa feel of Keswick, and came up with a palette of lavender, mustard yellow and orange accents.  Here is the inspiration board we created for the shoot:

If you know anything about me, you know I LOVE mixing old and new.  For this particular shoot, the modern Ikat tablecloth really set off the old world feel of vintage books, candlesticks and urns that we used.  Enjoy the pictures and make sure you pick up a copy of the latest issue of Engaged! for the full 24 page spread which includes details about dress and accessory designers as seen on the model!  I hope to put the actual editorial pages *as seen in the magazine* up here soon.
