Fashion Model Friday

Our most recent fashion shoot with Chesley...she's a natural!  She had so much fun getting styled and beautified by our team of experts :)  You'd never know she was just 18 - such a great alternative to traditional senior portraits.  We encourage all the girls to pull pictures from magazines like Vogue to highlight the mood, poses and overall looks they like the best.  This helps set the tone for the 3 looks prior to shooting, and helps me pull wardrobe.

Art Gallery Chic - Inspiration Shoot

It's no secret I'm a girly girl at heart...I love fluffy peonies and soft colors, romantic candlelight and vintage everything.  However I'd been wanting to do a shoot like this for quite sometime - I wanted to challenge myself to do something a little out of my comfort zone and more modern in style.  Of course it has the signature Strawberry Milk look, so among the stark palette, lucite and angular features you'll find a few antiques and some sparkle mixed in too.  And what shoot is complete without a fiery redhead?  Enjoy!

*Update:  We are beyond thrilled that this shoot has since been published in Washingtonian Bride & Groom blog as well as Grace Ormonde's WeddingSTYLE magazine.

Concept:  "Love is the most beautiful art form."  Created a modern art gallery atmosphere for a high fashion bridal shoot with classic elements.

Palette:  Black, White and Kelly Green.

Makeup: About Face Beauti
Hair:  Ayo Napata
Paper Goods:  Little Bit Heart
Rentals: DC Rentals (place settings, ghost chairs.)
Bridal Gown:  Pronovias from Love Couture Bridal in Potomac.
Model:  Chelsea Taylore
Design/Styling/Props/Furniture: Strawberry Milk Events

Fashion Model Makeover

Remember this photo from our sneak peek of Rachel's model for a day shoot?  Well, we now have a few more photos to share from her other two looks that we styled!

Loving the attitude!  Doesn't she look like the next cover of TEEN VOGUE?

Wedding for Two - Pt. II

If you missed Part I, catch up here first!

Note the gorgeous Kate Middleton-esque wedding ring...

An intimate reception for two - English Rose Garden did a beautiful job on the florals.

Cake for two - by the amazing Maggie Austin.  The hand-rolled rosettes took 13 hours alone!
And those realistic peach flowers are made of pure sugar.

The End.

Again, a very special thank you to all our fabulous vendors:
